Why Are YOU Here?

May 4, 2010 — Admin (Views: 30)

Chances are, you found this site through an old link somewhere, because I haven’t really started advertising this site at all. That’s OK, it just means that you get to watch while I build the site up and start providing more information about what I have learned over the years.

I think it’s safe to say that most of us would like to be successful and are looking for good ways to achieve our goals for success. So, one of the challenges that faces us is to learn what works versus what doesn’t. Unfortunately, there is no one single answer to that challenge as all of us are different and bring different abilities to the table. There is no simple plan that will work for everyone, but there are definitely some things that work better than others. Part of my goal with this site is to point out some generic strategies that can be put to use, and hopefully, provide some guidance that will allow you to recognize those don’t work and why.

Sometimes, the rules for SEO just aren't as hard and fast as one might think. Partly, this is because those rules are always changing and what worked last year probably doesn't work as well today. With that being said, though, I can still attest to the fact that the search engines still look for strong, relevant content as their primary requisite for ranking. Your job, as the site owner, is to make sure that the content is not only there but easy for the search spiders to find easily.

FTC Blogging Guidelines Posted by Admin (2010/5/2)
Ever since the FTC released its FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION 16 CFR Part 255: Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (how's that for a nice short title?) back in December 2009, the online world has been buzzing quite a bit about what this means for bloggers who rely on affiliate links for income.
